Deeper KidMin is committed to protecting your online privacy. This Privacy Statement explains our views and practices concerning privacy and how they may pertain to you as a user of our website.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

As mentioned below, we’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for XXX years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Transactions

When you purchase something from Deeper KidMin, as part of the buying/selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, email address, and more. This enables us to both fulfill and support the products you purchase. This includes but is not limited to sending emails or physical mail upon our discretion.

When you browse any page of the Deeper KidMin site, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system so we can better improve the experience for all our users. We use technologies, such as cookies, to customize content and advertising, to provide social media features and to analyze traffic to our sites. We share information about your use of our sites with our trusted social media, advertising, and analytics partners.

Transaction emails: We may send you emails about recent purchases at any point after you choose to download a product from the Deeper KidMin site.

Email Marketing & Newsletter Subscribers

We may send you emails about new products, free downloads, or new content from Deeper Kidmin and partner sites. You may unsubscribe from these marketing emails at any time.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

DeeperKidmin.com utilizes cookies to create a more customized experience for our users and customers. For example, we use a login cookie so members do not have to re-enter their username and password each time they return to our site We also use tracking pixels (i.e. Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel) to aid in measuring and tracking where our website traffic is coming from and to track the performance of our site. Finally, we use remarking pixels from Facebook and Google to aid in customized, targeted followup advertising.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Deeper KidMin is part of the Amazon Associates Program an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means to earn commission by linking to Amazon.com products. Many of the links on our site may be affiliate links to resources available for purchase on Amazon. This simply means that if you click that link and purchase something, Amazon will give Deeper KidMin a small percentage of the sale, at no additional cost to you. More than anything, the affiliate links help cover the cost of maintaining the site.

Consent

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, or place an order, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason.

Completing a transaction on DeeperKidMin.com does not automatically add you to the marketing email subscriber’s list. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason (i.e. newsletter subscription and marketing messages), we will ask you directly for your expressed consent on the page and provide you with an opportunity to withdraw your consent at any time.

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

How/Where we store your data

Our shopping cart solution is hosted and managed by Dokan and WooCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Dokan and WooCommerce data storage, databases and the general applications. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Your data may also be stored in Agile CRM, which allows us to provide you with transaction emails and other communication preferences.

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

Payments

Payment:

Financial transactions relating to Deeper KidMin are handled by our payment services providers, PayPal and Stripe. We will share transaction data with our payment services providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing your payments, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds. You can find information about the payment services providers’ privacy policies and practices at paypal.com or stripe.com/. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

NOTE: At no point during the transaction does Deeper KidMin take custody or store your credit card information. This process is monitored and managed by Dokan and WooCommerce. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We may share your personal information with 3rd parties like MailChimp for promotional emails. Other than 3rd party services used by Deeper KidMin (detailed below), we will not disclose your personal information to anyone.

In general, the third-party providers used by Deeper KidMin will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our program’s Terms of Service.
