Advent Scripture Scratch-Off

Here’s a fun and simple twist on the typical Advent calendar that encourages a daily habit of prayer and scripture reading throughout the Advent season!

Advent is a special time when we get ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It starts four weeks before Christmas and helps us remember the real meaning of this special holiday. The Advent Scripture Scratch-Off makes it easy for kids and families to explore the 4 themes of Advent at home and spend time praying and reading Scripture each day!

It’s simple and easy to use: Each week, kids will draw a flame to “light” the appropriate candle. Then each day, they’ll use a coin to scratch off one bubble from that week’s themed candle. They’ll look up the verse and say the accompanying prayer in each bubble. That’s it! It’s simple enough to do at breakfast, in the carpool line, or even while brushing teeth.

It’s simple and easy for you to prep it too! Just print it, add scratch-off stickers (details and Amazon links provided in the leader guide), and share!

This resource comes with 21 scripture + prayer prompts all focusing on the weekly themes of Advent: hope, love, joy, peace, and the Christ candle for Christmas Eve! Note: There are only 5 days per week, so families have a buffer day if they fall behind or have a busy day.
