Canva is one of the most powerful (and affordable!) tools available to children’s ministry leaders, but having access to Canva doesn’t automatically mean your designs are effective.
In this hands-on online workshop, you’ll learn the basic principles of good design, discover time-saving Canva features, and create ministry resources you can actually use right away. This isn’t a sit-and-listen workshop. Have your Canva account open and ready because we’ll be designing together in real time!
Together, we’ll walk through real children’s ministry examples, give graphics a makeover in real time, and build practical resources alongside each other. You’ll leave with customizable Canva templates, a better eye for design, and the confidence to create graphics that communicate clearly and look great.
Some Canva experience is recommended, and many of our tips and hacks will only be available in a Canva Pro account (not at the free level). If you don’t have a Canva Pro account, we’ll also talk about how to apply for a free Pro account as a nonprofit organization.
Whether you’re creating social media graphics, volunteer recruitment materials, parent communication pieces, or Sunday morning visuals, you’ll walk away with practical skills and ready-to-use resources that will save you time long after the workshop ends.
Happening Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 1-2:30pm EST via Zoom. Note: If you can’t attend live, your registration includes access to the replay of the workshop, which is emailed out after the live workshop takes place.
Before the workshop, you will need to gather a few simple things: (1) Workshop Workbook PDF (we provide it for you!), (2) your answers to the “Before” Questions in the workbook, (3) something to take notes with, and (4) your Canva account open and ready to explore!
