DIY Easter Tombs For Any Budget

Bring the story of Jesus’ Resurrection to life with an Easter Tomb in your children’s ministry area!  This resource provides four ways to build an Easter Tomb using almost any budget. 

Four Easter Tombs!

• Embellished Tomb Backdrop is the easiest and quickest to set up.
• Tomb Mural is simple, low-cost, and a great option if you don’t have a big budget.
• Tomb Scene requires a tent and a little more creativity and materials than the Embellished Tomb Backdrop or the Tomb Mural.  
• Walk-Thru Tomb is the most detailed and requires more time to set up than the other tombs. It is designed for children and adults to follow a walkway inside and experience a tomb with a funeral bed, burial cloths, and dried herbs for a sensory experience.

These tombs are easy to make with step-by-step instructions that give you the basics for a great tomb. An interaction idea is included for each tomb too to really help bring it to life. Add 3D Extras such as plants, moss, herbs, and others to bring depth and a sensory experience to your space.

We also included an editable materials request flyer to print and pass out to friends, family, and church members. As you ask others for things they may have around their house that they can lend or donate to your tomb, people can feel more connected to the children’s ministry.
