This Easy Christmas Dinner Theatre is a flexible, low-prep program that combines storytelling, Scripture, and community connection. Perfect for churches of any size, it can be adapted for a full meal, dessert theatre, or low-prep kids pageant. This program was originally run in a church basement as a dinner theatre. The script combines a modern story of two friends traveling home on bus and foot with scenes from the Christmas story. It was written to require minimal prep work.
The result was a beautiful intergenerational event that drew in many from the community… including people who had never stepped foot in a church before.
You are free to adapt and personalize this event however you like. Change the names, change the script, or use it in a completely different way. It’s yours to use!
