Thanksgiving is about more than turkey, pie, and gathering around the table. It’s an opportunity to help kids notice the good things God has given them, thank Him for His blessings, pray for the people in their lives, and discover ways they can serve others.
Thank-FULL gives kids a fun, hands-on way to experience prayer through playing, talking, thinking, creating, and doing. Each station takes something familiar from the Thanksgiving table and turns it into an opportunity to connect with God.
This download includes 4 unique, kid-friendly prayer stations with a fun Thanksgiving theme!
These prayer stations can be used in multiple ways, making this resource fully customizable. Use all 4 stations for an entire kids ministry or family prayer experience, set up individual stations as stand-alone activities, or incorporate them into a kids church service, Thanksgiving event, or midweek program. You can make each activity longer or shorter depending on what works best for your group.
Kids can move from station to station at their own pace, spending more time at the activities they connect with most. Some kids may carefully work through an activity while others move through it quickly, and both are okay. The goal isn’t to race through every station. It’s to give kids space to spend meaningful time with God.
Each station includes a Scripture focus, simple prayer prompts, and a hands-on activity designed to help kids explore a different way of praying.
The 4 prayer stations include:
- Thanking & Thinking — Kids complete a Thanksgiving-themed I-Spy activity, noticing things they can thank God for and taking time to give thanks.
- Setting & Saying — Kids set a Thanksgiving table and use each item to respond to a prayer question, talking with God out loud or in their heads.
- Breaking & Blessing — Kids choose pieces of bread representing people in their lives, break the bread, and pray for God to bless, help, and care for those people.
- Slicing & Serving — Kids decorate and cut apart a pie, then use each pie slice as a prompt to think about someone they can serve.
The stations are designed to look and feel different because prayer doesn’t have to look the same every time. Some stations may be quiet and reflective, while others involve talking, pretending, creating, or working together.
Each station can be completed in about 10–15 minutes, or kids can spend longer at the stations they connect with most. The included station signs are designed to help kids move through each activity independently, while volunteers can step in to explain, encourage, and support kids as needed.
