Hi! My name is Jolie Sims and I’ve been in Children’s Ministry for over 8 years now! Along the way I’ve completed the Children’s Ministry and Family Ministry Engage Certificates through Bethel Seminary and INCM.
I LOVE Children’s Ministry and I LOVE kids. I just truly enjoy ebing around them, laughing with them and building relationships. Most importantly, I am passionate about making sure that kids are connected with Jesus. I want them to know the kind of love that exists where God loves us so much that He sent His son to save us. I want them to have a firm foundation and I want them to know that life isn’t always easy, fair or simple… but it is always grounded in Christ.
I adore volunteers and know that they are the heart of ministry. I believe in creating a team environment where volunteers feel like they aren’t just serving, but they are a part of something bigger – the future of these kids.
I call my store Experience Kidmin because I do believe that Children’s Ministry is an experience. It doesn’t have to be flashy, but I believe in providing an environment for kids that allows them to separate from the daily grind when they are with us and focus on the awesome news we have for them. I want them to love what they do so much that someday they want that same experience for their kids. And I want them to invite friends to participate in what they love to do and to learn about Jesus.
I have an incredible husband who is so supportive, and 2 awesome kids. My daughter will be attending Auburn University fall of ’23 [we’re UGA grads, but we’re adjusting! 🙂 ]. She wants to teach middle school ELA. My son is in middle school and plays the drums and lacrosse.
