Fear Not: Conquering Fear By Faith Fall Event

“Fear Not!” is a fall event that aims to teach children to trust in God through fun and interactive activities, especially when they face fears. Through engaging activities and stories from the Bible about characters who overcame fear, children are encouraged to grow in strength and courage. This event highlights that with God’s presence, fear and discouragement are unnecessary.

The central theme is captured in the Bible verse Joshua 1:9 (NIV): “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

The total event time is around 60 minutes. The event involves completing five stations. Groups will have 7 minutes to go around and complete each of the five stations in a specific order. Each station has a special activity and lesson to support the main idea: we can conquer our fear with faith! The five stations include: The Great Exodus, Daniel in the Lion’s Den, David and Goliath, Jesus Calms the Storm, and Peter Walks on Water. 

The “Fear Not!” event is adaptable for use in various contexts, including children’s church services, mid-week clubs, family events, or fall festivals.

The recommended schedule includes:

• Opening & Welcome (10 minutes)
• Five Different Activity Stations with Bible story + interactive activity (35-40 minutes)
• Closing & Dismissal (15 minutes)
• Total Time: ~60 minutes
