BUILD (4-Day VBS)

BUILD is going to stack up to be one of your best kids’ events!

Through this 4-lesson building-brick-themed curriculum, kids will learn to BUILD their lives on the Solid Rock of Jesus! Each session, the Bible lesson will connect to a different part of A Giant Brick Man!

Large Group skits are included as well as small groups for kindergarten through third grade and separate preteen small groups. BUILD is great for a VBS, Summer Camp, or Midweek Service!

Lesson Overview:

1. Lesson One: Feet – Stand Firm in God’s Word (Wise and Foolish Builders, Matthew 7:24-27) – God’s word is the foundation for our lives. It provides a better way to live. We need to read and know God’s word and start to live it out.
2. Lesson Two: Heart – Trust in God’s Love (Prodigal Son, Luke 15:11-32) – As we live out God’s word, we sometimes go our own way like the prodigal son. But no matter how far we go, God will always love us. He showed His love and forgiveness through Jesus.
3. Lesson Three: Hands – Be a Part of What Jesus is Doing (The Boy at the Feeding of the 5,000, John 6:1-14) – What are ways we can love and serve others–in our house, in our neighborhood, in the world?
4. Lesson Four: Head – Get Your Whole Self Out There (Great Commission, Matthew 28:16-20) – Just like Jesus built up the disciples to send them out, He’s also sending us out to tell others. When we BUILD on the solid rock of Jesus, we have ears to hear God’s word, eyes to see other people, and a mouth to tell others about Jesus.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE SERIES: “Everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24
