What better way to honor dads and father figures than with some fun games! Play these games in your children’s ministry this Father’s Day! (Find all of our Father’s Day resources here!)

  1. Does Dad Have Hair on His Chinny Chin Chin? – In this on-screen game, kids/families must guess if the dad in each family photo has a beard or not. It’s wildly hilarious and harder than you think!
  2. Dad Jokes Showdown – Pick a few kids to come up front and deliver their best (or worst) dad joke. Invite kids up in groups of 2-3 and let the room vote for their favorite each round. (You could even use this 5-minute Dad Jokes countdown to introduce the game!)
  3. Who’s That Hero? – Write names/jobs on name tags (superheroes, Bible heroes, everyday heroes like teacher, firefighter, policeman, etc.) and put a name tag on each child’s back. Kids walk around and ask yes/no questions to try and figure out “who” they are!
  4. Find the Tie (great for small groups in classrooms!) – Hide a tie (a real one or a construction paper one) around the room and invite kids to hunt for it. The child who finds it gets to hide it next.
  5. Pin the Tie on Dad – Just like pin the tail on the donkey, but with dads and ties! (Find a ready-to-play version here or make your own!)
  6. Double Vision: Father’s Day Edition – In this on-screen game, kids/families must find the father-related picture on each slide without a double.

Reminder: You don’t need every game or activity to scream “Father’s Day” but these can be a fun way to honor the men who invest in our lives!
