It’s never too early to start building a faith foundation, even for babies and little ones. Gifting young families a special book or other faith-based resource when welcoming a new baby, either at birth or at a baby dedication, is a great way to equip and encourage new parents to disciple their kids! The list below comes from Kathleen Jaoudi, a DKM Vendor and a children’s pastor in NY and also includes some other favorites. Kathleen’s ministry experienced a baby boom one year when they welcomed 11 new babies in a short time frame! She shares more about her experiences here and shared her list below based on her experiences both personally and as a ministry leader during the baby boom. Order a few copies for the new babies in your ministry, or keep them in the nursery for Sunday mornings!

Board Books from Sally Lloyd-Jones: These board books come from the Jesus Storybook Bible, but they’re a little more durable for those first few years of a child’s life! The series includes 6 titles: Found, Known, Loved, Strong, Happy, and Near

Little Words Matter Board Book Series: These board books from the Little Words Matter series help little ones learn their letters, colors, shapes, and more, all while focusing on God and faith conversations! My favorites include Thank You God from A to Z, All the Colors That I See, Opposites for You and Me, and 1,2,3, God Made Me!

Baby Believer Board Book Series: In addition to basic Bible theology, Baby Believer board books are filled with quotations from the Bible, creeds, hymns, church fathers, and other articles of faith. They have books that use Biblical theology to teach littles about movement, animals, opposites, emotions, and more! Find them all here.

Tiny Theologians Resources: Tiny Theologians has resources for all ages, but their items and books for babies are so sweet! Some favorites include the In His Image Fabric Baby Book, a Psalm 139 Muslin Baby Blanket, and My First Bedtime Prayers.
