Last year, I shared my Top 5 Easter Worship Songs for Kids, and this year, I’m sharing my top Easter songs for kids that really focus on the topic of salvation through Jesus. While most worship songs include this topic, I like these songs for the way they communicate our salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection for kids. Several of them can be downloaded from Worship House Kids.
I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous) by Yancy – I love it when Yancy takes an old hymn and re-works it into a song ofr kids! This song invites kids to thing about how marvelous it is that Jesus took our sins and sorrows. It’s a little slower, but it’s a great way to invite kids into a reverent time of worship and response.
This is Amazing Grace by Summit Creative Company – A classic we all know that helps us focus on the grace and love given to us through the cross. (Plus, this version comes with built-in motions!)
O Praise the Name (HSK Remix) by Hillsong Kids – This song helps kids realize the sacrifice Jesus made for us and reminds them to praise His name alone.
We Believe by Yancy – I mean I really can’t help but put Yancy on this list twice. 🙂 This song, though not a Yancy original, helps kids voice their beliefs and feel confident in their salvation.
Hallelujah For the Cross by Chris McClarney – I like how this song directly and honestly helps kids think about where they would be without Jesus (hopeless, a prisoner, etc.) but focuses on our salvation from those things.
Looking for an Easter lesson that helps kids not only learn about salvation but experience it hands-on? Check out Experience Salvation, a 90-minute lesson that invites kids to experience salvation by walking through the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection in a hands-on way. Learn more here.
*Note: I have not been paid or asked by Worship House Kids or any of these artists to endorse them, and I receive no compensation when you purchase their products. I just think they’re a really great resource every KidMin leader should know about!
