Earlier in the week, we talked about Easter Egg Hunt Alternatives during this time of social distancing and quarantining for COVID-19, so today we’re sharing a free printable to help you pull that off!

It’s simple, it’s cheap (you only need some colored paper and plastic Easter eggs), and most importantly, it’s so fun! Print & copy the printable pages double-sided on colored paper, adding in details about your church Easter services (online or in person) in the space provided. You can also share this PDF with your families via email so they can print their own copies! Then follow these steps:

  1. Hide an empty plastic egg somewhere in the family’s yard. Tip: communicate with parents ahead of time to find a time the kids will be home.
  2. Tape a packet of the “You’ve Been Egged” instructions on the door or leave them on the mat in front of the door. I made sure to include extra sheets so kids could egg their friends and pass along the invitation.
  3. Ring the doorbell, and run! Hide down the street to watch the excitement or drive on to the next house.
  4. Kids hunt for the hidden egg, then they “egg” their friends’ houses just like you did theirs, giving everyone the chance to celebrate Easter while also maintaining social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
