Christmas Curriculum

A Praise in a Manger – Worship is more than just singing songs; it’s a way of life! Using the Christmas story, kids will learn we can worship God by singing songs, telling others about Jesus, and giving gifts (of our time, our money, and our service). A Praise in a Manger is a 4-week Christmas unit for elementary kids in a large-group, small-group format. The unit begins with an introduction to the definition of worship as a whole-life response to God and His greatness and a fun movie day!  The following three weeks take kids deeper into the Christmas story to learn about how the angels, the shepherds, and the wise men all worshiped the baby Jesus in different ways and how we can worship in different ways too. Learn more here.

Don’t Be a Grinch – The Don’t Be a Grinch series is aimed at children ages 5-11 years to help them realize they don’t have to be a grinch but can enjoy being real with, giving to, loving, and marveling at Christ this Christmas! PNO: Let It Snow! – Give parents a break this Christmas/winter season and host a snowflake-themed Parents’ Night Out (PNO)! The Let It Snow PNO uses snowflakes and Ephesians 2:10 to remind kids that we are each unique and beautiful “masterpieces,” and God wants us to use our uniqueness to “do the good things He planned for us” (NLT). You basically throw one big party for the kids, use youth as your volunteers, and the parents have a night out for dinner and a movie, running errands, or just relaxing at home with no kids.
